Kwita Izina – This takes place in September of every year and is a very special event that takes place in Musanze and is a ceremony to name the Gorillas and to celebrate the birth of new baby Gorillas.

Commemoration period starting on 7 April, of every year and is a public holiday and understandably a very solemn day indeed

Visitors to Rwanda are required to have valid passport and visa should be checked before you travelled Binoculars, Video camera, Sunscreen, Raincoat, Sunglass, Shoes with good rubber soles that are closed

You can apply for a Rwanda tourism visa online if you want everything settled prior to arrival. The process in our opinion is cumbersome compared to the visa. On arrival there are photos, uploads of itineraries, plus a credit card fee.
